The Woodworks formed in 2011 with former guitar player/singer Jim Hayes from Last Duchess. The quartet started by playing folk music until 6 months into the band when Jim Hayes left the band to pursue other life goals. Shortly after that the band began to change their style of music to encompass more of a rock style. Their first release, Fregoli Delusions, was release in 2012, followed by their sophomore album, Safe Mode, in 2014. The band began to gain more high profile shows from then on and released Unhealthy Decisions in 2015.
For two years the band wrote and recorded their next album in which they released a single "The Doctor Says I'm Fine" off of 2017's Laser Mouth Explosions. An acoustic EP, Au Naturel, was released in 2017 and then a live album recorded at Last Exit Live, Working, was released in 2018. The band toured in June of 2019 and returned home to record their next project.
From there the band decided to do it's most ambitious project yet. The three song EP would feature three episodes in conjunction with each song. The project was called Glorious Episodes and it was released on May 20,2020. The EP was recorded in part at Stem recording studios and part at home.

By 9 years old she was both learning flute in band as well as taking part of a local girls choir. She participated in a children's musical theater company and by the age of 13 had picked up the guitar. She's been in such bands as Dora Maar and the Redemptions.
Stan began learning music at the age of 10 in the form of drums but later picked up the guitar. In 2010 he graduated from ASU with a Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Arts which was a degree that included music, visual art, recording and film making. Steve began his musical development at the age of of 11 when he began playing saxophone and then two years later when he picked up the bass guitar. He's been in such bands as Prey, Goetta, Burn the Heard, and Hi-Fi Beta. In 2011 Steve joined The Woodworks to play bass guitar where his style lends more to a lead guitar player role than that of just rhythm. In 2014 Steve was named the best bass player by the Phoenix New Times.
